Assessing Romania's Competitiveness — A 2026–2035 Strategic Outlook
A ten-year strategic outlook on Romania's competitiveness, commissioned to the Jacques Delors Institute under the Presidency of Enrico Letta.
DDD Foundation's first commissioned study is a ten-year strategic outlook on Romania's competitiveness, prepared by the Jacques Delors Institute under the Presidency of Enrico Letta. The study examines structural drivers of competitiveness across labour, capital, energy, innovation, single-market integration, and institutional quality, and sets out a 2026–2035 pathway.
The work is independent, evidence-based, and produced under the foundation's editorial-independence framework. The foundation commissions; the Institute writes. The full report and its underlying datasets are public.
The Bucharest launch is scheduled for 24 November 2026, followed by a Brussels launch on 1 December 2026 (to be confirmed). Each launch convenes the study's authors with senior Romanian and European institutional stakeholders for structured discussion.
